Pfitzy Lora

This week will have me up to 20 miles. Three weeks post-marathon and I'm feeling good. I will slowly build up to 30 miles/week. By the second week in January I will attempt my first Pfitz plan--up to 55 miles/week as I head towards my first 50K.

Lotsa firsts happening here for me--let's just hope this body holds out.

You have a great base so taking it to the next level will be no problem for ya! I'm very excited for you it will be fun!

Yay! I'm glad you are feeling good! And wow - I only hit like 38 or 40 miles max before my first ultra... but I supposed more would have helped :)

Lora- awesome following your progress but the madness needs to stop here. It is NOT healthy to run 50K!! ;-)
Seriously, good on ya for going for it!

Is it sad that I read your checklist (lifestyle changes) and having a hard time checking any of those off!?! One thing I really need to work on though is the water...I probably drink 1/2 that- yikes!

Keep it rolling!

Well Lora you do not need that kind of base but if you want too then go for it. 50k you just need to follow marathon training plus 26.2 mile long run and your set. What ever rocks your world. glad you are building up to it. 55 a week is ahrd but once you do it there will be no turning back from the dark side.

If we get another dog, let's name it Pfitzy.

I never did get on the bog weekly mileage plan for JFK like I planned. You may inspire me to get my running butt in gear next year for some bigger weeks!

Where there is a will, the body will follow. "Pfitzy Lora," that's cute :).

I look forward to following the progression to 50k. I'm sure you'll do great and fit right in with the ultra crowd.
