Red Runner


All ready for my run on Saturday. Orders were to go a total of 5 hours---3 hours in the parking garage attached to my condo building, powerwalking up and running down, and then another 2 hours in the streets going 4/1 run/walk.
I made it for one hour in the garage, then the cold got the best of me. I'm already tired of the winter here in Chicago. It just gets worse for me each year.
So I went back to my condo, changed to shorts, and went to the gym for the rest of the run (the gym is in my building).
I made it another 3 hours before I totally pooped out. I only brought gels with me and I guess that wasn't enough nutrition. So I'll be more prepared next time.
Four weeks until Rocky Raccoon!! Holy Crap!!

Four hours of exercise is nothing to feel bad about.  Good job!

It sounds like you need some trails in your area that are accessible to you. 4 hours in a parking garage and gym is pretty darn good.

Great workout considering the Chicago winter weather. Rocky Raccoon is coming up fast, but it sounds like you are ready!

Yea Rocky Racoon!! I cant wait to read the report. Dont get too down on this weather, it sucks, but training in it makes you stonger mentally or gives your frostbite.. maybe both :)

Wow, good luck on the Rocky Raccoon! I ran 4 1/2 miles on saturday. You did 4 1/2 hours? Go Lora, you rock!!
