Back in the Saddle

I RAN TODAY!!! YIPPEE!! Only 2 miles at a slow pace--didn't want to take any chances--but all was in working order. Not sure I'll be ready for the Cleveland Half in 2 1/2 wks, but that's ok--I'll do what I can or cheer everyone else on. No reason to sweat the small stuff.

Got rid of the coach. Had three months with her and I think I can manage by myself. I read all these blogs with great info, read all the right books and get some personal info from strong runners around me--so I'm gonna go with the flow. Feels better that way right now.

Got a sneak peek at my condo being built. A pre-dry wall walk-thru. Got to see all the wires and stuff. I like the hat--wish I went into construction. Are there nerdy construction workers??

Lora,
If you start wearing hard hats on a regular basis, you'll have to start showing some "ass crack" when you bend over. ;-)

Did I miss something? You weren't running?

Don't take any chances at the half; injury isn't worth it.

I was thinking you were a building inspector. You look like a natural with a hard hat on.

If you are not feeling hurt then I would say go and do the Full. Look you have trained with me for the last couple of month. I just PRed at a marathon. I am twice the size of you. You can not only do the half I think you can do the full. Plus the full as 8 hour time limit. you can walk it faitly casually and finish it. I am telling you do the FULL. We can do it slowly together. Come on I have alot of juicy secrets for you if you do.

you've got it going .. .the clipboard or book you are holding gives the whole look one of authenticity ....

2 miles on your ankle sounds promising

I agree, I prefer Lora without the hat. I always imagine "Lora runs"

We'll have to hook up when you're in Cleveland! Are you coming with a group of peeps? I'll be on the sidelines spectating so if you are coming out this way let me know!

glad you are getting back into the swing of things!

Congrats on the new digs! How fun to be the first in and decide on fixtures, etc. Wooop!

Glad your run went well, but be careful in your half. If you're not up to it, don't risk it!
