The purse, the first hung pic and stuff....

Isn't she beautiful?? It's like buttah! Yep, that's the ordered purse from the Showtime show, Weeds. I love her!! Bayley does too!

Hung our first picture bought on our trip to Seattle in the summer of 2005 by a street vendor. We have wonderful memories of that trip and I fell in love with the amazing trails that I ran there. Hopefully, one day I'll be back!

A birthday passed by. I got a terrific gift from sweet Haight! I mentioned this juicer while we were watching a bio on Jack La Lanne's life (he still wears those tight jumpsuits). Yes, the man listens closely to me!

I'm reading up on fasting and detoxing plans. I think I'm going to try one and see how it goes. I've emeshed myself in this book, Amazon.com: How to Get Well: Dr. Airola's Handbook of Natural Healing: Books: Paavo Airola. When I was in nursing school, during my nutrition course, I was committed to eat more nuts, seeds, fruits and vegetables based on what I was learning. Raising kids made that very difficult, but now its my turn to do for me.....so I'm back to what I truly believe in.

Having met lots of foreign caregivers of my patients, I've been learning their ways of healing skin problems, digestive problems and healthier eating. I've used what they've taught me as I care for other patients, steering away from medicines and expensive lotions with great success. One from Belize stated that her grandmother used to go into the backyard, pick an herb, either grind it up or boil it and use it to heal whatever ailed family members. We've gotten too far from that....all towards filling the pockets of drug companies. It's time we relearned all that doncha think?

I've got an Old Skool Acme juicer. I got it out to use again, about 4 months ago. I use it for my morning meal.

Take Care,
Ben

Bayley is a portugese water dog. I always say he's like a standard poodle, only fluffier (definitely not as bright)!

I would LOVE to get a juicer someday. It would save me MANY trips to Jamba Juice. :D

Happy belated Birthday!

It may be time to rethink the dominance of medical drugs, but fasting?? Lora, you're a runner; I don't think fasting is the answer for you. Please do n't do anything too extreme.

Academic medicine is a bore. The purse looks great - genuine, sturdy, and consistent with itself, just like you :).

I'm with you 100% on the food/diet subject. I've been immersed in a great book The New Optimum Nutrition Bible. Check it out, I think you'll get a lot out of it!

Looks like home! That is a cool bag. Funny the dope smuggling purse..lol….my wife loves that show too! Good luck with the cleanse, it’s a great experience! I just tried the Lemonade Diet and tho I only lasted a couple days it really changed my eating habits for the better!

Have a happy and healthy holiday season

Ok, I tried to comment yesterday and it wouldn't let me so here I go again.

At first when I read the title and saw the picture I thought the juicer was the purse. I was a bit confused, but eventually I figured out that the order of your title did not match up with the order of the pictures. The picture in the middle certainly does feel like home, since it is mine. Hope you can come and visit soon.
